Fair Haven Landscaping was established in 2013. Our goal is to provide high quality, functionally designed landscapes for people; using our combined industry experience and professional certification to back our work. In the same way that a fair haven is a place of calm and rest for ships to anchor, we want the spaces we design and build to function as places of rest and enjoyment for our clients.
Our motto: Firmitas, Utilitas, Venustas is taken from the Roman Architect, Vetruvias’ writings in the first century BC. He identified strength, functionality and beauty as the cornerstones of architecture; and we agree that these should be the basis of our designs as well. We have a core crew of Journeymen that comprise our company and strive for employee retention so that our quality of work remains consistent and predictable. |
THE CORE CREW
Elizabeth Kawahara, RSELandscape Horticulturist
Design Consultant, Certified Pesticide Applicator Originally from a farm in Central Alberta, Elizabeth has always been drawn to the outdoors and discovered a passion for landscaping in 2007. She apprenticed with a company that specialized in cobble stone work and residential design/build. Watching landscapes form from an idea and develop over the years is her favourite part of work in this industry. Although her role is mostly administrative, getting out to do consulting and design work remains a highlight!
